Live Local - Support Local...
The Shire of Collie have our community at heart and they love having people visit where we call home. The Shire of Collie have generously helped us over the years with the event venue right in the heart of the Collie CBD and also clearing sections of verge and parkland for the riders run into - and out of - town. They work hard to make the town look it's best for our big events - and sometimes have a bit of extra work to do after all the riders leave as well. We appreciate everything the Shire of Collie team does to support the event - so a big 'Thank You' to everyone involved!

Local Bike Shope Extraordinare!
Event manager Erik Mellegers started Crank'n Cycles back in 2007, taking over from Harry Wiggers (who amalgamted Robbie's bikes and Bill Atkinson cycles 9 years prior to creat Collie Bikes Are Us). Erik handed over the reigns to Adam Richards and the team in January 2024 - and they are going from strength to strength! If you think Collie has some great roads, tracks and trails - wait to you see the local bike shop! With store roots tracing back to the early 1900's this shop has grown and developed as much as the trails have. Pop in and check them out - the freindly staff will be happy to help you or talk about the latest mountain bike trails or road rides!

Daniela often incorporates the landscape and environment into her sports images, turning them into 'environmental portraits'. Whenever possible, she likes to add an emotional element into her portraits. Be it a cheeky smile, a little tear of joy as a competitor crosses the finish line, or a sight of relief at the end of an endurance event. She feels her mission as a photographer is accomplished when she manages to capture the raw emotion of an event in her images.
